PLTW:
Engineering and Development Course Project
For my high-school PLTW Engineering Design and Development course, my team developed a UV-C sanitizing device to improve sleep hygiene by neutralizing bedding allergens. The project followed the full engineering design process, beginning with the creation of a problem statement and progressing through market research, competitive analysis, and iterative prototyping.
I was responsible for the technical design and physical assembly of the final prototype. This included 3D modeling the full mechanical assembly in Fusion 360, constructing the prototype housing, and soldering the electronic components and circuit paths to power the UV-C lamps.
Additionally, I also created some product renders in Blender for the final panel presentation.
